In a bizarre collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous changes echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
